Now onto today's card.  I loved the stamp set Bootiful Occasions from the moment I opened the new catalogue.  You can do so much with the images if you use just a little imagination and creativity!  I've done a few cards with feet as the main focal point (I didn't realize I had such a fetish for feet LOL) so I guess it only makes sense why I was drawn to this set.  Here's a quick run down of how I got these shoes flying high on a broomstick :)

    Supplies:

    Stamp sets: Bootiful Occasions
Cardstock: Whisper White, Rich Razzleberry, Basic Black
Ink: Daffodil Delight, Rich Razzleberry, Elegant Eggplant, More Mustard, Basic Black
Accessories: Brayer, Simply Scored tool, 1 3/4" circle punch, Perfect Plum tafetta ribbon, linen thread, Early Espresso bakers twine, wooden skewer, Perfect Plum, Gumball Green, Lucky Limenade markers, sticky strip, snail adhesive, Stampin' dimensionals

Begin by masking off the moon with a 1 3/4" circle punched from a post it note onto Whisper White cardstock.  Brayer Daffodil Delight on the entire piece of cardstock; followed by Rich Razzleberry onto the top 2/3's of cardstock, then Elegant Eggplant on top 1/3.  Remove the mask from the moon and sponge More Mustard inside.

To create the broom:  cut a piece from a wooden skewer roughly 5" long.  Cut pieces of linen thread about 3" long.  Fold in half and tie to the skewer with Early Espresso bakers twine.

The witches skirt is a piece of Basic Black cardstock cut 5" wide by 3" long.  Trim the bottom of the skirt in a wavy pattern with scissors to add dimension.  Score the entire piece of cardstock at 1/8" intervals and gather at the top, using sticky strip to hold in place. Cut a triangular piece of Basic Black to create an arm, crumpling the cardstock before adhering with sticky strip to the skirt.  Add a piece of Perfect Plum taffeta ribbon to the create the waist of the skirt and a smaller piece on the bottom of the sleeve to create a ruffled cuff.  Adhere both in place with sticky strip.  Cut legs freehand out of Basic Black with snips.

Stamp the boot images in Basic Black ink onto Whisper White cardstock.  Color in the heels and band with a Perfect Plum marker and the dots with Lucky Limenade and Gumball Green.  Cut out with snips.  Assemble pieces to the card front.  Take care to make sure one leg is under the broom and one leg is on top of the broom.  Its easiest to assemble with Stampin dimensionals at this point.  Add sentiment and adhere card front to Rich Razzleberry card base.

That's all for now - if you have any questions, please don't hesitate to ask!  Until next time...
